Scan test returned no engine or transmission DTC's. Test drive vehicle while monitoring scan data. Can see excessive slipping from Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) when surging/shudder occurs. Added friction modifier to transmission to see if it would help with TCC engagement. Problem still occurring. Recommend replacing Transmission/TCC assembly.
